Tempt Your Tummy Tuesday: Garlic Foccacia Bread

Garlic Foccacia Bread is my go to when I'm out of make-ahead-and-freeze Garlic Bread.  It is super simple to make, takes just a few ingredients, and goes well with pasta, and potato soup alike.  You can also use the leftover dough to make a mean pizza!  I whip up the dough in my bread machine before baking it in the oven, but you could easily do it by hand or with your kitchen aid.  Without further ado ladies and gentlemen, I give you Garlic Foccacia Bread...

1 1/4 c Water
2 tbsp Olive Oil
3 1/4 c Flour (I use unbleached)
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Italian Seasoning
2 1/2 tsp Yeast

1.) Add the ingredients in the order listed, making a well for the yeast (or based on your bread machine's instructions).  Push the dough button, and start (or follow your bread machine's instructions for a dough).
2.) When the dough is done, prep your baking sheet with parchment and a little olive oil.
3.) Stretch the dough out on the parchment (dough is VERY sticky).  I like to drizzle more olive oil over the top, and then sprinkle coarse kosher salt over the top - very yummy!
4.) Bake in a preheated 450 degree F oven for 15 minutes.  Serve immediately, and try not to eat it all by yourself!  (We bake 1/2 of the dough at a time because I think it tastes best fresh from the oven, and I just save the other half for the next day or so in a oiled container in the fridge.  You can use your leftover dough as a very yummy pizza crust too!)
