CVS Clearance Shopping!

Both CVS and Rite-Aid have been putting out a LOT of clearance lately in an effort to get an early start on the Christmas merchandise. Here is some of the deals I was able to score:

1 pkg Magnetic Clips (these are VERY hard to find) $3 - $2.25 Clearance = $0.75

1 Towel Wrap for your Hair (I LOVE these) $2 - $1.51 Clearance = $0.49

1 Microwave plate cover $2 - $1.51 Clearance = $0.49

1 Bumpits $4.99 - $3.74 Clearance = $1.25

1-90 ct CVS Brand Mucinex $19.99 - $14.99 Clearance = $5

+$0.18 Tax

Total OOP: $8.16, paid with FREE gift card!

Quick Safeway Stop

I made a quick stop last Tuesday to Safeway to grab some of the deals, here's what I ended up with...

2 boxes Special K Cereal (my new secret addiction) $3.79 ea - $3.60 in-ad Coupon - $1/2 MC (newspaper) = 2/$2.98

2 Hormel Chili Master Starters $2.29 ea - $2.60 in-ad Coupon - $0.75/1 MC doubled x 2 (no longer available to print) = 2 FREE

4 Progresso Soups $2.69 ea - $3.96 in-ad Coupon - $0.50 e-coupon x 2 - $1/4 MC (newspaper) = 4/$1.96

Total OOP: $4.94 -- Savings of 78%!!!
