Big Lots Trip from Wednesday

 Last Wednesday Joe and I stopped into Big Lots with Melinda and I picked up the last of the dunkaroos!

2 boxes Dunk-a-Roo Cookies with Frosting $1.60 ea (I can't find these anywhere anymore!) = 2/$3.20

1 - 4 pk Glass Rose Bowls (to go with another set that I bought previously) $3

**I think that this bowls are going to be great for when Joe and I have guests for dinner.  They are the perfect size for a size salad, fruit salad, or an ice cream sundae!

Menu Plan Monday July 7, 2010

 This week is going to be a busy one here at the museum!  There are lots of events going on, and we have officially opened for the summer season, so Joe and I are pretty much stuck at home or work for about the next two months - UGH!  And it's beginning to get hot here in Maryland, so I am always on the look out for recipes that do require an oven, or a stove if possible :-)

Breakfasts: Cold Cereal or Eggo Waffles with Fruit or Bagels with Cream Cheese

Lunches: Leftovers or Sandwiches with Chips and Fruit

New Budget Info:

 Well, after 44 weeks of keeping track of our spending, Joe and I have made the decision that we are ready to set a budget for our monthly spending.  We have allotted $40/week or $160/month for Food and Heath & Beauty items, and $100/month for misc spending and household items, such as cat food and litter.  I think that it will be tight, and after this month the Misc budget may need to be increased, but I also think that we can make it happen! 

CVS Trip from Wednesday -- $0.50 Detergent!

 I love good deals on detergent!  I got the chance to take my very close friend Melinda coupon shopping on Wednesday!  We had a BLAST!  Here's what I scored at CVS:

I just wanted to wish everyone a WONDERFUL Fourth of July & I hope everyone is enjoying their picnics and fireworks!

If you are in the Westminster area on the 4th feel free to come on out to the Farm Museum to see our fireworks display and visit me at the farm house, I'll be giving tours from 3-6 pm.

This was definitely a shopping highlight for me!  It's been a L-O-N-G time since I have gotten AWESOME coupon deals at somewhere besides Rite-Aid & CVS!  While I was at the beach, I stopped into the Dollar General, and boy was I glad I brought my coupons on vacation with me, just in case, if you know what I mean :-)
